Self-care in unprecedented times: Strategies to promote present focus

Join us Friday, November 6th from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm EST.

Elizabeth O'Brien will be conducting a webinar, Self-care in unprecedented times: Strategies to promote present focus

This year is one of the most challenging in recent memory: A global pandemic, national reckoning with racial violence and injustice, ongoing environmental disasters due to climate change, and a polarized political election. Adapting to these times may also mean shifting how we engage in self-care and accepting that previous habits may not be available at this time. Moreover, many have had to strategize and anticipate solutions to problems occurring in daily life that didn’t exist before; this strategizing takes us away from present focus thinking, which is an important mindset for maintaining life satisfaction. In this webinar, participants will be challenged to  assess and develop their current self-care strategies; learn how to use mindfulness practices; and review the efficacy of using mindfulness practices to promote present focus and maintain/improve life satisfaction.
